About Paint 11 Web

Paint 11 Web is a free browser-based drawing and image editing tool. It provides a familiar paint workflow without requiring an installation or account.

You can draw, add shapes and text, work with multiple layers, crop or resize an image, remove a simple background, and export the result as PNG, JPEG, or WebP. Layered projects can also be saved in the browser or downloaded as a .paint11 backup.

How to use the editor

The editor is designed to work immediately. These steps cover the main workflow.

  1. 1. Start or open an image

Use File to create a blank canvas, open an image, add an image as a new layer, or continue a project stored in this browser.

  2. 2. Draw and arrange

Choose a pencil, brush, fill, text, eraser, picker, selection tool, or shape. The property bar changes to show the settings for the active tool.

  3. 3. Edit with layers

Create, duplicate, hide, reorder, merge, or adjust the opacity of layers. Local projects keep this layer structure for continued editing.

  4. 4. Remove a simple background

Select Remove background to detect a uniform background. Review the detected color and adjust tolerance or edge cleanup when needed.

  5. 5. Save or back up

Export a finished image as PNG, JPEG, or WebP. Download a .paint11 project backup before clearing browser data or moving to another device.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. The editor reads and processes opened images in your browser. Normal page requests are still handled by the hosting provider.

Where are local projects stored?

They are stored in this browser on this device. Clearing site data, using private browsing, or changing browsers can remove or separate those projects.

How do I move a project to another device?

Download a .paint11 project backup from the File menu, move that file, and open it in Paint 11 Web on the other device.

Why does background removal work better on some images?

It is intended for white or relatively uniform backgrounds. Complex scenes or subjects with colors similar to the background may require manual cleanup.

Is this Microsoft Paint?

No. Paint 11 Web is an independent browser-based editor and is not affiliated with Microsoft.

Privacy policy

Paint 11 Web is designed to minimize data collection. No account is required, and image editing takes place in the browser.

Information handled by the service

Paint 11 Web does not ask for a name, account, profile, or payment information. Images and layered project data selected in the editor are processed locally in the browser and are not intentionally uploaded to an image-editing server.

Browser storage and preference cookies

The service stores recent layered projects and previews in browser storage so work can continue on the same device. It also uses preference cookies for the selected language and whether the introduction has been dismissed. Preference cookies may remain for up to one year.

Local projects remain until you delete them in the editor or clear the site's browser data. Private browsing and browser storage limits may prevent local saving.

Hosting and security data

The hosting and network provider may process standard request information such as IP address, browser and device details, requested URLs, timestamps, and security signals to deliver and protect the site. Paint 11 Web does not use this information to access the contents of images edited locally.

Advertising and Google services

If Google AdSense is enabled, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or other identifiers to deliver, measure, and personalize or limit advertising. Advertising may not be active at all times or in every region.

Where required, a consent message will be shown before advertising storage or personalized advertising is used. You can review how Google uses data on partner sites and manage ad personalization using the links below.

Your choices

You can remove locally stored projects from the editor and delete cookies or site data in your browser settings. Blocking storage may disable language persistence, introduction preferences, or local project recovery.

Changes to this policy

This notice may be updated when storage, hosting, analytics, advertising, or contact practices change. The latest revision date appears at the top of this page.

Terms of use

By using Paint 11 Web, you agree to the following basic terms.

Permitted use

Use the service for lawful drawing and image editing. Do not use it to violate another person's privacy, intellectual property, or other legal rights.

Your files and rights

You keep responsibility for and any rights you hold in files you open or create. Because editing is local, Paint 11 Web does not claim ownership of your image or project content.

Backups and availability

Browser storage is not a permanent backup. Download a .paint11 backup for important projects. The service may change, become unavailable, or lose local state because of browser settings, device failure, storage limits, or cleared site data.

No warranty

The service is provided as available without a guarantee that every file, browser, edit, export, or background removal result will work perfectly. Check exported files before relying on them.

Brand independence

Paint 11 Web is an independent service. Microsoft, Windows, and Microsoft Paint are trademarks of their respective owner; no affiliation or endorsement is claimed.
